The Mayor Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality, Jackson Kamugasha has revealed that some of his technical staff are corrupt and let people build without plans.
Some of the buildings are in inaccessible areas for example behind other buildings to an extent that incase there is fire outbreak the fire fighting vehicle cannot access the area.
Mayor Kamugasha made these remarks today June 23, 2016 while opening a two day workshop organized by the ministry of lands housing and urban development at Bushenyi multi-purpose hall.
Kamugasha has been in running battles with the enforcement and health departments for aiding construction of illegal structures.
Officials from the ministry are in Bushenyi Ishaka municipality to sensitize leaders, business community and media on proper urbanization of Bushenyi Ishaka municipality.
They are also in Bushenyi to help form Bushenyi municipality development forum and to assist in the proper planning and management of the 6 year old municipality.
