The government has been cautioned that unless it starts supporting ,renovating the existing technical schools as well as constructing other news technical institutions atleast in every subcounty,its programe of skilling Uganda shall produce nothing.
The government is also tasked to educate Ugandans about the advantages of tehinical and practical education since some people despise it as aproffession for the failures.
Mr Muhangi Benon the principal St Benedict Kakindo technical institute one of the catholic church founded institution while today speaking to journalists revealed that the government introduced apolicy of skilling Uganda to reduce on un employment especially among the youth ,but it has failed to support technical institution by providing expensive equipments like laboratory and library to equip students.
Benon also challenged the myth that technical education is for the failures saying that the ministry of education should ensure sensitization to the public about its policy to fight un employment in Uganda.
Students who talked to journalists revealed that they chose technical courses as an escape cover of moving streets hunting for jobs which they say they are surrounded by corruption and mistreatment.
