Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances under which a private
security guard allegedly shot a thirty five years old man dead.

It’s alleged that on the 05th June 2016 at around 6:00pm at Kigezi
high school Kabale municipality while on duty saw the deceased
carrying a metallic suit case on a bicycle entering the gate, when
asked where he was going, said had come to check on his child, in the
process something was heard kicking in the suit case and when asked
what it was, became aggressive and started fighting the security
guard, when released a bullet, it got him in the thigh.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate says that the suspect
died while being rushed to hospital and was later on realized was
carrying a stolen live goat.
Maate says that it is very unfortunate incident, people should desist
from acts of fighting security guards while executing their duties so
that their issues are handled lawfully. Police is investigating to
establish the truth of the matter.
