KAGADI AUTHORITIES ARREST 10 PUPILS FOR DODGING SCHOOL

Kagadi town council authorities yesterday afternoon carried out an
operation against children who have not gone to their respective schools
at the first day of opening of the term.

Robert Barora the secretary for health and education in Kagadi town council
Kibaale District yesterday afternoon said after visiting some schools, they
found few pupils and was forced to mount an operation around town where
they caught ten boys aged between under 10 years while selling boiled eggs
and chapat claiming that their bosses want them complete their months and
pay for their wages.

When interviewed, they told us that they do not have school requirements
such as uniform, exercise books, pens, shoes among others.

In related development, the health inspector in charge of Buyaga the
greater Peter situma has expressed concern over physical appearance of
these young boys selling food around town.

He said they are un hygiene which may lead to diseases such as typhoid
among others advised parents to take responsibilities over their children
because child labour is not allowed
