
Dr Elioda and the outgoing medical supretedant of holy innocent hospital touring the theater under construction

In Mbarara.
The outgoing minister of health Dr Elioda Tumwesigye has revealed that all major hospitals that are being constructed and those already under construction have a provision on top where helicopters should land for emergencies.
He noted that already the new hospitals that have been constructed in the divisions of Kampala capital city authority have provisions of where helicopter ambulance can land.
He also said that Mulago referral hospital which is under construction will have a place on top where helicopter ambulances will be landing to ease and save peoples’ lives.
Dr. Tumwesigye said this over the weekend while officiating at the handover of 10 ambulances to four health facilities in Bushenyi, Ibanda, masaka and mbarara districts.
The hospitals to benefit from the ten ambulances include St. Daniel Comboni hospital in Bushenyi, Villa maria Hospital in Masaka, martyrs hospital in Ibanda and holy innocents children’s hospital in Mbarara.
The ambulances came from a German charity organization—Humanitarian help Uganda—Verl.
The official from humanitarian help Uganda Verl, Mr. Micheal Hellfritz asked the government of Uganda to add on what his organization has achieved.
The archbishop of Mbarara archdiocese Paul Kamuza Bakyenga noted that holly innocent children hospital already has partners from local governments, USA, German among others and said that he was hopeful that the ambulances will go a long way to help and save the lives of Ugandans in Ankole and Masaka.
Archbishop hailed the Germans for having kind hearts and donate the ten ambulances to the hospitals under his area of operation and to the hospitals under the archdiocese.
