Geoffrey Muganda, 50, a retired civil servant has taken over central ward NRM chairmanship unopposed. The elections were conduct today Monday May 12, 2025 in central ward, central division Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality.
In an interview with www.mknewslink.com, Mr. Muganda noted that he joined politics of NRM to strengthen the party and bring about unity amongst the party members and the public at large.
He hailed the voters of central ward for making him go through unopposed which according to him is a vote of confidence.
Mr. Muganda added that he will contest for secretary NRM central division and hopes that he will be given enough support and win.
Other people who won in today’s party elections include: Mrs. Peace Bweyare who still eyes Central division NRM women League chairperson, Lozio Nshemereirwe won NRM vice chairperson for Ruharo ward in Central division and eyes central division NRM chairperson seat where he has been serving for some time among others.
The NRM party elections began on May 6, 2025 with lc1 party flag bearers and today they have been voting for lc2 party structures.
