The managing director of mk newslink.com Mr. Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante is being impersonated by unknown online thieves soliciting money from and luring them to open some links where they can cheat them from.
“The online thieves are using this number 0786693031 with my photo on whatsapp and soliciting money from friends that am in problems and have changed the number to this one which is never my number,” said Kasibante.
“My official telephone numbers which are all on whatsapp are: 0772680106 and 0702680106 in the names of Wilber Muhwezi,” he added.
Mr. Kasibante says that they are using a fake organization called ‘Give Direct Foundation Promotion’ claiming that they give money for free, when actually they are stealing from public.
They first impersonated the retired permanent secretary of ministry of local government Mr. Patrick Mutabwire using this fake number 0771426616 and they still have a profile photo of him on the same number.
It’s a wave of online thieves and hackers who have attacked greater western Uganda and Uganda in general.
The managing director mknewslink.com would once again to categorically state that he is not soliciting any money from anyone using 0786693031.
