The Embattled Go Forward Candidate Zepha Mugisha who won mayor ship of Kihihi town council was sworn in yesterday.
Mugisha who is a strong supporter of former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi emerged winner of recently elections with 2982 votes defeating his political nemesis Deus Tugume of NRM with 1140 votes and Denis Tweheyo with only 78 Votes.
Mugisha has promised to defend the constitution of Uganda while taking oath of allegiance.Mugisha elected Hope Tumuhimbise as his Vice Chairperson, Vincent Niragyiye as Secretary for Finance, Brian Ariho Secretary social service and Elizabeth Akandinda Secretary Genda and Community services.
He has promised to work hand in hand with the tycoon James Musinguzi Garuga such that every plot in town is planted at least two trees, improving sanitation and promoting house hold income.
Other Councilors who took oath before Magistrate Sande Duncan include; Vincent Niragyiye, Lukia Mbabazi, Moses Musinguzi, Robert Turyatunga of FDC among others.
During Council session, Councillors have Voted Moses Musinguzi as speaker with 9 votes defeating Costance Tukwasibwe who got 4 votes and Brian Ariho with only 2.
