Police in Mbarara yesterday evening fired bullets in air and teargas to disperse rowdy Boda Boda riders who made a procession, carrying a body of their fellow knocked down by a speeding vehicle along Mbarara Kabale road.
According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police spokesperson, the rowdy Boda Boda riders who were intercepted by Police at Kobil petrol station, abandoned the body which police took to Mbarara regional referral hospital mortuary.
Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that the deceased Moses Kafeero was run over by a vehicle registration number UBD 341X along Mbarara- Kabale road as he struggled to run away from Ssenoga Umar alias Kyabura a city council traffic warden.
Kasasira noted that the Boda Boda riders continued to the home of the traffic warden in Kibaale cell Kagando parish Masha Isingiro district where they burnt his house to ashes.
