Police in Rubanda District are hunting for a local council one chairperson for beheading his friend using a panga.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and identified the lc1 chairperson as Bonane Deus of Hamurara village, Nyamiyaga parish Bubare sub- County in Rubanda district.
Maate added that the beheaded man is Moses Tumusiime a resident of the same area saying that he was severely cut.
Maate said that no one knows the circumstances under which the LC Chairman cut the resident.
According to Police, the suspect fled the village and is hiding in unknown place and a case of causing grievous harm has been reported at Bubare Police Station under reference number SD 03/10/08/2020 to help in investigations.
