West Ankole Diocese Election Committee has elected two names of whom the house of Bishops will elect the Bishop of West Ankole Diocese tomorrow 1st,june,2016.
The two names elected include Rev Canon Amos Turyahabwe Tindimwebwa from Kashenshero Mitoma district and is a chaplain St Francis Chapel Makerere university. He polled 14 votes out 15 and Rev Canon Twinamastisko William becomes the second with only one vote and is the Archdeacon of All Saints church greater Bushenyi.
According to credible sources, the election committee led by its chairman Mavini Baryaruha sat in Kampala today and elected two names of whom the house of Bishops will elect the Bishop tomorrow.
Ninecandidates expressed their interests in the position of Bishop, and these are; Rev Canon Ntoreine,Rev Canon Caleb Twinastisko, Rev Canon aBenard Mushabe, Rev Can Jonson Twinomujuni, Rev Canon Robert Kankyiruho among others.
