Dagalas Namanya (Bachelor Social Work &Social Administration) has won guild presidential elections at Ankole Western University with 301votes against his challenger Rebecca Ankunda BBA who polled 287 Votes.
The chairman electoral commission Ankole Western University; Dan Stuart Aine told www.mknewslink.com reporter that over 920 students were registered for voting excise but only 588 turned up yesterday for the exercise.

Aine said the election that started at 08:00Am and ended at 05:00Pm was free and fair as no cases of multi practice were reported.
Also Rev. Didas Natweta; the dean of students said that the election was free and fair and the staff is already to work with the elected Guild president.
Rev. Natweta appealed to the election losers to work hand in hand with the president elect for the betterment of Ankole Western University.
