IN BUSHENYI—

Bushenyi municipality town clerk Deo Ndimu bid farewell the residents of Bushenyi where he has been working for 3 ½ years.

He has finally been transferred to Masindi municipality in mid-western Uganda, he announced this while closing a two day workshop of stakeholders at Bushenyi multi-purpose hall today 24th.June.2016.

The workshop was organized by ministry of lands housing and urban development and the officials hailed Deo Ndimo for initiating Bushenyi Municipal Development forum which was launched yesterday 23rd.June.2016.

Ndimo called upon the mayor and municipal officials to respect and use the new inaugurated municipal development forum for purposes of mobilization and development.

Ndimo fell out with staff and political leadership mainly the mayor over facilitation of staff and the political wing. Before he came to Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality, staff would be paid monthly allowances but when he assumed office, he changed to paying them quarterly which did not go well with the entire staff establishment.

Ndimo is leaving Bushenyi with a case at Bushenyi police under investigation for paying 30 million to a contractor to build Nyamiko health centre staff quarters where shoddy work was done and the entire structure of a three in one staff house was demolished at blustering level. Ndimo and his engineer Deus Baingana were taken to police by Nyakabirizi division speaker Mackay Twijukye alias Magufuli on charges of corruption and abuse of office.

The OCCIID Bushenyi Charles Ndamanyire told www.mknewslink.com editor that the two have already recorded statements at the office of the OCCIID and after investigations, they will be taken to courts of law to answer the above charges.

Ndimo will be replaced by his counterpart from Masindi municipality. He will hand over office next week to the new town clerk.
