BY NYESIGA ELLY IN MBARARA- The Mbarara Municipality Mayor Robert Kachebezi Mugabe has argued the municipality councilors to avoid rumor mongering and self interests as they represent their areas but work for general cause of developing Mbarara municipality. Kachebezi says even though councilors come from different constituencies but they all make up Mbarara municipality,therefore self interests should be avoided and aim at developing Mbarara town to the city status and to archive it they have to avoid rumor mongering but work as a team. Kachwebezi sounded the call as he was giving his remarks during the first municipality council meeting at municipal council hall in Mbarara today where they were electing and forming sector committees of the council today.He added that there is a need for councilors to go on ground and supervise the projects in their areas but not just waiting for the council meeting. Five committees of 9 members were formed which include; Works,Education,,Finance,Community and Social services,and Security committee which is new as it was set up this political term.All 6 divisions were represented on this committee.
