Violent hailstorm has destroyed three churches and left 17 families homeless in Mutara subcounty Mitooma district.
The affected churches include; Rubiriizi Seventh Adventist Church,Rubiriizi Full Gospel church and Church of God.
The hailstorm that lasted for three hours yesterday morning also left three Schools devastated in Rubiriizi parish. The affected schools include ;St.Johns Rubiriizi S.S,Kutiisa P/S and Rutooma Junior P/S.
According to the area district councilor; Godwin Muzoora seven villages were affected by the hailstorm and 17 families were left homeless.
Muzoora told the www.mknewslink.com managing editor that he has already contacted the acting district chairman; Silver Tumukuratire and the area MP;Hon.Donozio Kahonda appealing them to rescue the affected families before the situation runs out of control.
He appealed to people neighbouring the affected villages to accommodate the homeless families until the government comes for their rescue.
