Police in Rubiriizi district have arrested and detained four people including a woman for allegedly being found in possession of game-park meat suspected to have been poached in Queen Elizabeth National park.
The police spokesperson for greater Bushenyi;Martial Tumusiime has confirm the incident and identified the suspects in detention as Alkangello Kiiza,Lawrence Agaba,Immaculate Kyomugisha and one only identified as Fitina who is suspected to be keeping a gun they used to kill the wild animals in the park .
All the suspects hail from Kicwamba sub-county in Rubiriizi district.
The case is registered at Rubiriizi police station under reference CRB898/2017
Tumusiime says investigations into the case are still on going after which the suspects will be presented in court for trial.
