Gilbert Arinaitwe Bwana, a police officer who became a public interest in 2011 when he smashed Dr Kizza Besigye’s car and sprayed pepper in his eyes at Mulago Roundabout, has been arrested for having allegedly raped a girl.
Police spokesperson; Asan Kasingye has confirmed to www.mknewslink repoter that the Assistant Superintendent of Police Arinaitwe in now in police custody.
Kasingye continues to say that yesterday Arinaitwe allegedly raped a teenage girl in his vehicle at Nakawa, a Kampala suburb.
www.mknewslink.com has learnt that Arinaitwe was redeployed to the Criminal Intelligence Department (CID) in April last year after spending five years on suspension.
He reportedly exchanged telephone contacts with the girl at CID headquarters in Kampala yesterday where the girl had been taken by her mother to be counseled on her unbecoming sexual desires that had affected her academic performance.
