MYSTERIOUS KILLINGS CLAIM SIX PEOPLE IN KASESE

Six people have died mysteriously in a period of two weeks in Kasese district. Four out of six people were on Sunday night killed at different scenes in Kasese Municipality and Kajwenge village in Kisinga sub-county in Bukonzo East constituency. Jane Diana Nyamisango the deputy regional police commander for Rwenzori East confirmed the incidents.

The two unidentified dead bodies that included a male and female were discovered early morning on Sunday at Base Camp Lower in Central Division, Kasese Municipality.The other one was found dumped in Kyanjuki cell, Nyakabingo ward in the same division.The two others, one was found dead last week and a 7 year old boy on Saturday died on his way to the hospital after detonating a grenade believed to have been kept under his father’s bed in Kaghema village in Kyalhumba sub-county in Kasese district.

According to Nyamisango, the incident at Kajwenge village, the deceased was murdered by a group of people following a fight.The reason for the fight is not yet known adding that the investigations are ongoing to find out what might have been the cause of the fight. For the three bodies found in Kasese Municipality, Nyamisango says they were all handcuffed with the rope wrapped around their necks before being stuffed in sacks.

A motorcycle registration number UED 149S Bajaja Boxer red in Colour was recovered from the scene at Base Camp.Samuel Odong the Kasese Municipality Division police commander is calling upon the general public to volunteer any information that may lead to the arrest of the people behind the murders and also identifying the dead bodies.The three dead bodies are now kept at Kasese Municipal Health Center III mortuary.

However, the Chairperson Kasese Municipality Boda-Boda Riders Association, Ahemed Al-Amin denied knowledge of  the number plate in his area of jurisdiction.
