Police in Mbarara is investigating the circumstance under which a one tear old child was killed.
The deceased has been identified as Brian Ainembazi who was one and half year old . According to her mother Justine Ayabere who was a bar attendant in Kirehe cell Ruti Ward, she said that on Wednesday evening at around 9:00PM,she left her kid in bed and went for work. After returning at around 11:00pm, she found her kid missing in the bed. She called her husband called Tumuhairwe Joseph who is a boda boda cyclist who was not at home that time and informed him about the incidence.
The following morning, they reported the matter at Mbarara regional police and the hunt for the missing child started. The case was recorded at Mbarara central police on file number SD4/8/6/17
On Friday evening, the body of Brian was found lying on top of river Rwizi in Kirehe cell . The Body of Brain was taken to Mbarara referral Hospital for postmortem and it was taken by the relatives for burial.
According to the police spokes person for Rwizi Region,Samson Kasasira, they are still hunting for those assailants who kidnapped and killed the innocent young child. He further said that when they arrest them, they will be taken to courts of law and answer charges of murder.
