Police in Kisoro is investigating circumstances under which a 20years old man mentally ill found hanged himself with rope inside his unfinished house.
ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson identified the deceased as Habomuremye Teojen a mufumbira by tribe and a resident of Rukoffe village Chibumba parish, mulora sub county,kisoro district.
The Chairperson Local Council III for Mulora sub county who reported the case to Kisoro police station said that the deceased who has been mentally ill disappeared from home on 19/2/2023.
And in the following morning of 20/02/2023 local residents traced for him and found him dead, hanging on a rope inside his unfinished house.
Scene of crime was visited and examined, Postmortem was done and body handed over to the relatives for burial while inquiries are still at hand
A case of suicide by hanging has been noted down vide at Kisoro Central Police station under reference CRB 130/2023
