Police in Masindi has arrested the second person who is believed to
have been with Maj. Erasmus Tinkamalire who was Friday night shot
dead by a prison warder guarding at RDC’s office.
Maj. Tinkamalire was shot at the RDC’s office building and died
instantly when he had gone to collect his laptop from his
office which is housed at the RDC’s office block.
Addressing reporters at his office, Godfrey Nyakahuma, the Resident
district commissioner Masindi noted that as security, they have arrested a
woman who is believed to have been with Maj. Tinkamalire before the
incident happened noting that they have done this to help them with
investigations.
Amadri Musa the prison warder who is alleged to have Killed
Tinkamalire is also detained at Masindi police station.
Tankovu Francis the OC CID Masindi district confirmed the arrest of
the woman but never revealed the details about her.
In a related development security has been beefed up at the RDC’s
premises following the shooting of Maj Tikamalire Erasmus was shot
Friday night. The RDC ‘s ffice was robbed last weekend where two computers belonging to the RDC and the
deputy RDC were stolen.
