Police in Rukiga are hunting for unknown motorcyclist who knocked chairperson Local council one to death.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson identified the deceased as chairman LCI Ben Banyanga aged 70 year a resident of Nyamabale cell Muhanga central Rukiga district.
The hit and run fatal accident which occurred at unknown time on 09th June involved unknown motorcycle and a pedestrian.
The victim was yesterday morning 10 June, 2022 found lying near the late Mugyenzi’s home along Muhanga Kyogo Kamwezi road.
Police were accordingly notified, scene was visited by No. 27103 CPL Patrick Byarugaba and postmortem was done and handed over to relatives for burial.
Inquiries are underway while a case of hit and run accident was registered at Rukiga Central Police station under reference number TAR: 15/2022.
