RADIO JOURNALIST REMANDED TO RUKUNGIRI PRISON FOR IMPERSONATION

IN RUKUNGIRI—–

The grade one magistrate’s court in Rukungiri presided over by Josephine
Nakato yesterday sent Tugaineyo Innocent a journalist with messiah
radio in Kasese District on remand up to 1st/march 2017 on charges of
impersonation.
Tugaineyo Innocent, 22 a resident of Itembe zone, karisizo parish,
Buhunga Sub County in Rukungiri District was arrested on 13th
/Feb/2017 at Kitunguru Primary School in Bugangari SubCounty on
allegations of impersonation.
It is alleged that Innocent was calling himself the inspector of
schools Rukungiri District Education Department.
Tugaineyo denied the charges slapped against him saying that he never
called himself the inspector of schools but journalist with Radio
Messiah based in Kasese District.
Prosecution side told court that investigations were still on and
asked court for more time.
Magistrate Nakato remanded him till 1st March when his case will come up for mention.
