Deputy RDC Kanungu District Ahimbisibwe Gad Rugaju has ordered CHICO heavy trucks to stop using Kawere-Baragine-Kinyangwe streets with immediate action.
Rugaju said that those streets are too busy with very many shop centers, have a lot of bends with a lot of obstructions and the streets have small roads which have increased accidents.
Rugaju has provided alternative road of Rukungiri-Rugomwa-Kasese and Amama Roads and in his letter he has asked CHICO to repair the road they have destroyed.
He has also called the Project Manager to his office on Monday 3rd May 2021 at 9am to harmonise the route and road use in Kihiihi town council in order to safe guard the lives and business of people.
