Residents of Chibumba village, Northern Division, Chahafi town council were on Monday left speechless after a Police dog tracked an Irish potato thief who had been terrorizing the village.
www.mknewslink.com has learnt that the suspect Nyirabapakizi Flavia aged 45, from Chibumba village, Chahafi town council is currently held at Kisoro Police station on the charge of theft under file number SD:REF:33/26/04/2021.
Wilson Ntamuhanga, a businessman and farmer says he had to call Police after he discovered people were stealing his Irish potatoes. He explained that the police dog from Kisoro was not able to trace so he engaged police from Kabale who responded immediately.
However the suspect Nyirabapakizi Flavia has denied the allegations.
Kisoro OCCID Naturinda Cleophas confirmed the incident. He further challenged people to avoid stealing but instead work for their own things.
