The Mbarara District NRM vice chairperson, Herbert Kamugisha wants the party Executive Members (DEC) to quickly resolve the issues raised by NRM flag bearers for councilor positions in the January general elections.
According to Kamugisha, some councilors did not get their full facilitation while others have not received a single coin.
The councilors accuse the city/district party leadership of swindling their money since they were supposed to get one million but were given only shs 500,000.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com reporter, the Mbarara District NRM treasurer Muhairwe Grace Kyankoko said those with claims concerning their balances should reach his office so that the matter is sorted.
The Mbarara District NRM administrative secretary, James Busweeta dismissed the claims saying that some were too expectant than what the party was planning hence the disappointments.
Meanwhile, the Mbarara district NRM chairperson Jomo Mugabi has revealed that they are into negotiations to ensure NRM flag bearers whose facilitation from the NRM secretariat was misappropriated is recovered and paid to the right beneficiaries.
