Head teachers in Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district were yesterday not able to return the first paper of PLE after a heavy down pour swept away 5 connecting bridges.
The heavy down pour that stared at around 11:00 am affected bridges that connect Kigara, Rwenyangi to Kibanda in Kamwezi Subcounty where examinations were taking place at different centers.
The rain eroded crops, houses and animals among others to swamps, a thing that left many in tears.
“This is not the first time this area is being affected by heavy rains and floods. It had happened in areas of Rwenyangi, Kigaara , Kabanda in Kamwezi ,and nearby areas when hailstorm hit them and destroyed their crops” one of the residents noted.
He asked the government to intervene and help the affected community because they have a lot.
