Three people were last night arrested in connection to the poisoning of 6 lions at Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National park in Kanungu District.
The three were arrested last night after a tip off and the security followed the clues to where the lions’ heads were hanging up in a tree and recovered them, according to a reliable source which confided to www.mknewslink.com.
A source said that the security recovered 4 heads of the loins tied up in a mango tree in Kyenyabutongo village in Kihihi Sub County in Kanungu District.
Hajji Shafic Ssekandi Sengooba the Kanungu Resident District Commissioner (RDC) has confirmed the arrest of the three people after the recovery of the lions heads in their compound.
