IN MBARARA—
Former FDC presidential Candidate Rtd. Col.Dr. Kiiza Besigye together with
his family attended Christmas prayers at Uganda Martyrs Church in Mbarara
Municipality.
In his Message Besigye noted that many leaders in this country are selfish
and lack the feeling of loving one another.
He hailed the people of Mbarara for praying for him to overcome
hardships he faced after elections said “it’s a pity to rejoice on such a day
when people in various parts of the country are starving”.
He urged people to use the birth of Jesus Christ to have love for one
another
The area parish priest Rev.Fr. Didus Kasapuli said as a church they were
surprised by Besigye’s visit to the parish but hastened to add that as a
church they welcome everybody regardless of his or her race and political
affiliation.
