Police in Rukiga district have arrested 6 girls in Muhanga Town council who have been selling their bodies in exchange for money.
On Friday 29th January 2020, this online publication reported about the six girls seemingly of 15-18 years who were operating a small bar in Muhanga central cell, Muhanga town council in Rukiga district.
These girls had also resorted to selling their bodies as a way of earning survival since selling waragi cannot satisfy their needs.
According to the Rukiga District Police Commander SP Aggrey Okumu, police made an operation and arrested these girls; they recorded statements and established their details as they prepared to send them back home.
By the time filing this story, police were still in Muhanga trading center making patrol.
