Residents of Omungyenyi trading centre Rubaare town council in Rushenyi county are living in fear after a crocodile was sighted in their area.
According to sources, the crocodile was seen on 29th Jan. 2021 in Omungyenyi wetland about 500 metres from Omungyenyi trading Centre.
Residents say that they now live in fear since the wetland is their source of water adding that these wild animals pose a danger to their children.
Other residents revealed that about two years ago, two of their colleagues drowned in the water but none of their bodies was recovered
They told www.mknewslink.com that they last year saw at least three crocodiles in the wetland.
The residents ask the leaders to rush to their rescue since the situation seems alarming.
