Sheema municipality FDC MP Flag bearer Virginia Plan Mugyenyi has accused her fellow contestants of bribing voters in an area as the country prepares for the general elections slated for 14th, January,202.
Virginia made the remarks yesterday 17th.Dec.2020 while launching her campaigns at Nyabishera play ground in Kabwohe Sheema municipality.
“Some of my opponents have started dispatching 10000ug shillings and T-shirts per cell to get mandates on the day of elections because they are cowards in this game and they tried to compete now after easing for them away during 2017 elections,” Virginia quoted
Virginia contested in 2017 with NRM’s Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye where he was announced the winner though Virginia protested the results citing some abnormalities in the process.
She however encouraged people of Sheema municipality to entrust her with their support if they are to end poor leadership in Sheema municipality.
Sheema municipality MP seat is one of the hotly contested for with NRM flag bearer Dickson Kateshumbwa, independent candidate who doubles as the minister of science and innovation Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye and FDC’S Virginia Plan Mugyenyi
Sheema municipality was created in 2017 when Kabwohe Town council was transformed into a municipality.
