A three year old boy who was on Saturday kidnapped from his home in Kyarukoobwa A cell, Kyaruhanga ward in Ibanda has been recovered in health conditions.
The victim Peter Mugabe is a son to Mugabe Robert and Rose Mary Ahimbisibwe.
It is alleged that Mugabe was kidnapped by someone who had come to look for a house to rent in the neighborhood but eventually disappeared with the child.
The Police and other security agencies have been on serious hunt for
the suspects since Saturday and he was fortunately recovered by security yesterday in Kamwenge.
Sources indicate that the suspect abandoned the victim in
Kamwenge town at aboda boda stage shortly after he was paid a ransom amount of shs 5million that they sent to his phone as he demanded.
One suspect has also been arrested in connection with the kidnap and
is being detained at Ibanda Police station according to the Ibanda
District Police Commander Emily Angomoku.
