The former Vice chairman for Sheema district Dr. Eng. Yorokamu Katwiremu has revealed that Dr. Elioda is no longer the NRM chairman Sheema district because he quit the party when he decided to run as independent.
Eng. Katwiremu revealed this in an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor at Jamugi restaurant in Bushenyi town on Sunday 29th Nov.2020.
Eng. Katwiremu noted that the guidelines and constitutions of NRM are very clear that when the chairman quits the party, the vice chairman takes over therefore he is the full chairman of NRM for Sheema district.
“Am neither the acting chairman nor the vice chairman because the chairman quit the party and the constitution gives me powers to take over as the chairman,”Katwiremu noted.
Dr. Elioda quit the party when he decided to run as an independent candidate after losing NRM primaries to Dickson Kateshumbwa former boss at URA.
