Igara East Member of Parliament Michael Mawanda Maranga who is an NRM flag bearer is an amazing legislator who has 12 sim cards but none of them is ever on.
According to investigations done by www.mknewslink.com managing editor even his father Can. Maranga cannot reach him since his many sim cards are always off.
Sources from Igara East Bushenyi district told www.mknewslink.com that after the 2017 bye-election in which Mawanda defeated Martial to retain his seat, Mawanda started changing sim cards on a daily basis.
Among the 12 sim cards that Mawanda has are;

Mawanda came to the limelight 2010 when he defeated Ambassador Richard Nduhura the then state minister for health in NRM primaries.
Mawanda did a lot of projects like schools, health facilities, churches and mosques where his bar was raised higher.
He recently defeated a number of candidates in NRM primaries where he did campaigns in a very secretive way by not using any of his cars but rather used boda boda and other small private cars.
Mawanda was nominated at 10:00am for 2021 general elections and by 3:00pm he was already in Kyengera travelling back to his home in Kampala.
On the other hand, Mawanda is contesting with Dan Mugura Karukiiko who has traversed the whole of Igara east ie 5subcounties and two town councils.
For a month now, Mawanda cannot be traced by his voters who have a lot of questions to ask.
