Ibanda Resident District Commissioner’s office has suspended physical visits for 14 days following the death of the district youth councilor Godfrey Mugisha.
Godfrey Mugisha succumbed to COVID 19 on Saturday Nov.8th 2020 at Mulago hospital ICU.
According Eliasto Akatuheebwa the district RDC authorities decided to restrict access to the office since Mugisha the deceased was a regular visitor.
Akatuheebwa noted that they have done this to safe guard the public from the deadly pandemic COVID19.
Relatedly, Mbarara referral hospital has registered an 8th COVID 19 death since the outbreak of the pandemic in March.
According to the Hospital Director, Dr. Celestine Barigye says the most recent COVID 19 related death victim is a 36 years old male from Bundibugyo district who showed COVID 19 symptoms one week back and was admitted at Mbarara regional referral hospital before he was pronounced dead on Saturday 14th.Nov.2020.
