Passengers travelling from Ishaka to Mbarara are stranded at Gaz petrol station and Bassajja stages following a tax drivers’ strike.
Tax drivers who accuse their leaders of harassment have today decided not to work until their matters are settled.
Those willing to work charge customer as high as 30,000/= from Ishaka to Mbarara which the passengers say they do not have.
Police in Ishaka have tried to calm down the strike but the drivers say that they are waiting for their leaders who have gone to Mbarara to sort their issues since that’s where they originated from.
