Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the president of Uganda has been duly nominated by the Electoral Commission as a candidate for the 2021 presidential election.
Museveni’s nominators were two young people; Nassur Gaddafi and Hellen Seku.
Museveni thanked the rest of his entourage led by the NRM vice-chairperson Al-Hajj Moses Kigongo and the Secretary General, Justine Lumumba and sent special gratitude to their supporters in the districts who signed his endorsement forms.
Speaking after his nomination, Museveni emphasized that the public should continue to observe measures against the Covid-19 pandemic which he said is deadly and killing many Ugandans.
He also encouraged everybody to maintain peace and warned those planning to cause chaos that they will not succeeded.
