Sheema District Electoral commission Returning officer Frank Ahimbisibwe has warned those who intend to contest for different political positions for local Government against delaying for nominations
Ahimbisibwe noted that today is the second day adding that the turn up of aspirants in Sheema is very low
He however warned that the electoral commission would not extend the process beyond October thus interested individuals should utilize the set period of time.
The nomination of local Government council candidates which started yesterday, September 21, will end on October 1.
The electoral commission is nominating candidates to occupy seats which include District and sub-county Chairpersons, municipality mayors and councillors at all levels.
“The nominations will be scientific, all staff have been provided with gloves, facemasks and sanitizer,” Ahimbisibwe added.
