Police in Rukiga District are hunting for vehicle registration number UBE 501A which knocked a motorcycle registration number UEM 857P seriously injuring two people.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate told www.mknewslink.com that the accident took place at Kabaale Corner along Kabale – Ntungamo Highway in Muhanga Town Council in Rukiga District.
Maate identified the injured as Karegyeya Edison Dongo and Joseph Kapira both residents of Ngoma Sub County in Ntungamo District.
The Police who visited the scene have blamed it on reckless driving and failure to observe road signs by the vehicle driver.
Maate said that the two injured were rushed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital where they are admitted with one of them with a fractured leg.
The Motorcycle was taken to Muhanga Police Station where it’s parked awaiting inspection by inspector of vehicles and the case was registered at Police under reference number TAR 23/2020 to help in further investigations.
