Police in Mbarara are hunting for a truck driver who allegedly knocked a Chinese national on duty yesterday morning.
He later succumbed to injuries on Wednesday, August, 12, 2020 at Mbarara regional referral hospital.
Rwizi region police spokesperson ASP Samson Kasasira has said that at around 9am, Lee Limin aged 49 years an employee of Chinese International Construction Company (CICCO) was instructing a truck registration number UBD 895N that was being driven by a one Kamari Hassan and the truck hit him.
The incident happened along Kamugungunu road that is undergoing construction in Rwebikoona cell, Kamukuzi division Mbarara city
After realizing that he had knocked the Chinese national ,the driver took off and the body of the deceased was taken to mortuary at Mbarara regional referral hospital for postmortem.
