Police in Ibanda district have warned students who intend to disrupt the ongoing UCE examinations with violent strikes to desist from the same because they will be arrested and be prosecuted as how the law stipulates.
The DPC Ibanda district ASP Denis Ochama sounded the warning early this week during a school council meeting at Nyarukiika High School in Rukiri sub county following a violent strike that rocked the school as the student were accusing the current head master Mr. Steven Gerald of denying them access to dormitories during day time.
During the course of the strike,the students pounced on the neighboring community and destroyed their property. ASP Denis said there are no arrests so far because he is still investigating the matter.
