Three candidates have declared interest to contest against Gen. Kahinda Otafire in the coming general elections.
The candidates include; Bagwa Mathias Nuwagaba NRM, Dr. Ben Twetegire independent, Norbert Beine NRM
Kahinda Otafire was given a special constituency in order to survive his rival Capt. Dononzio Kahonda who defeated him twice in 2015, 2016.
Kahinda’s win may not comeby in Ruhinda constituency because his rivals Benon Karyeija and Capt. Kahonda support Mathias Bagwa.
The king makers of Ruhinda are Kahonda ,Karyeija and Kamateeka but they all don’t support Otafire.
Kahinda Otafire has always had another team of arch rivals; Ms Janet Museveni and Sam Kutesa the minister of foreign affairs therefore they are now switching to Mathias.
Gen. Kahinda lobbied for a constituency purposely to avoid Kahonda who defeated him in the last election and was likely to defeat him again.
However, Kahinda is likely to lose in his new constituency since the kingmakers have followed him to decampaign him
