Police in Rubanda are hunting for yet to be known driver of a motor vehicle which killed two people in a hit and run accident.
According to the Kigezi region police spokes person Elly Matte, two people were knocked by yet unknown vehicle while riding on unknown motorcycle.
The rider was Arinda Jabal 20 years and passenger was Turyatunga Gideon 27 years both residents of Rwaburindi village, Ikamiro parish Muko sub county Rubanda district.
Matte told www.mknewslink.com reporter that the incident happened on 21/7/2020 at around 22:20 hours at Kagano cell Karengyere parish Muko subcounty at Karengyere trading centre as the duo went back home.
He revealed that the rider died on spot while the passenger died on arrival at Mutolere hospital in Kisoro where he had been rushed.
He attributed the accident to reckless driving and the case was registered at Rubanda main Police under file number TAR 17/2020.
