The director of Mbarara regional referral hospital Dr. Celestine Barigye has rubbished rumors making rounds on social media that a doctor at the hospital has contracted COVID 19.
Dr. Celestine said that they have been so vigilant with the precautions and no health worker has been infected with the deadly Corona virus besides screening every person that enters the hospital premises.
Mbarara regional referral hospital has so far registered 26 COVID 19 patients with 16 recovery cases and discharged remaining with only 10 admitted as of July 14,2020.
Barigye maintained that the hospital and other task force organs are ensuring prevention of the pandemic and the hospital is currently fairly equipped.
