Police in Kabale have two people in custody for allegedly assaulting a 33 years old man.
The two are Arinda Louis, 23, and Birungi John Fisher, 20, who are brothers and residents of Rwamukundi cell Mwanjari ward Southern division Kabale municipality who allegedly assaulted Bwete Tonny, 33, Business man of Kekubo cell Kirigime ward at Kiwero’s pork joint Kekubo when they were watching a football match on the Sunday evening.
The kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Matte told our reporter that both victim and suspects had been watching the early football match where one of the suspects lost his phone and suspected the victim to be the one behind it.
Matte adds that the suspects mobilized others and badly battered the victim but fortunately during the assault, the phone was discovered from the room they were earlier watching from.
The case was registered at Kabale police station.
