Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances under which suspected Irish potatoes thief was killed by unknown mob in kamuganguzi sub county kabale district.
It’s said that on 08/7/ 2020 at around 11:00 hours a case was reported at Kamugaguzi police post by the LC1 chairperson Bunagana cell, Mayengo parish Kamugaguzi sub county, Agaba Henry, that Katugyenda Edison, 45, was found lying unconscious along the road with a small sack of Irish potatoes and maize Combs besides him.
The kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Matte, confirmed that the deceased breathed his last as he was being rushed to hospital.
Matte adds that Kabale central police station was immediately notified and visited the scene together with the doctor for postmortem and it was found that the deceased’s body had multiple injuries.
He noted that Inquiries have commenced to establish those behind the incident and will be charged accordingly.
