Police in Kisoro district are holding a woman for allegedly dumping her newly born baby Girl into a pit latrine.
The Kigezi region Police spokes person, Elly Maate, identified the suspect as Beatrice Busingye, 27 years, a resident of Kisoro Municipality.
Maate said they received a report from Katebalirwe Evumali the area LC I chairperson yesterday at around 14:30 hours that a baby had been dumped in a latrine and rushed to the scene. They teamed up with residents and recovered the deceased.
Maate said the Police will charge Busigye with attempted murder
The case was registered at Kisoro police station under reference number CRB 210/2020
