Former Rwampara Member of Parliament Vincent Mujuni Kyamadidi has rejected court judgment in an election petition he filed before mbarara high court seeking the annulment of his predecessor Charles Ngabirano’s victory over voter bribery, intimidation and ballot stuffing.
The enthusiastic Rwampara residents stormed court premises last Friday waiting for the judgment which had been earlier adjourned twice that left supporters to doubt court decision.
High court presided over by Justice Dr. Winfred Nabisinde upheld the victory of Charles Ngabirano as the duly elected MP Rwampara representing will of the people.
Mr. Kyamadidi through his lawyer Ngaruye Ruhindi rejected the judgment and assured the people and court to appeal the decision in the court of appeal.
Supporters of the two candidates were restrained from killing each other by police when they attacked themselves.
