Police in Kabale district are holding fourteen people who were picked
up in Kabale town in a joint operation by the army and police in
today’s Jun 02 wee hours.
The operation targeted popular hangouts in Kabale municipality such as
video halls and condemned building.
The Kabale district police commander Dickens Bindeeba says that they
had picked hundreds of people but on screening, fourteen were
indentified and they will be aligned in court to answer various charges.
Bindeeba adds that the operation targeted night spots that have been
operating in disregard of the regulation. He also says that the
operations will continue reduce theft in kabale town.
On Saturday night Hundreds of people were picked up in Kabale town
in a joint operation by the army from popular hangouts in Kabale
municipality such as Mist club, Club Haven and Bombocha.
Bindeeba also revealed that those picked, have been already aligned
before court.
